DINNER · FRIDAY 13

7:00 PM · Catrina de Alcalá · Inspired by the Recipes of Frida Kahlo

This dinner is inspired by the personal recipe notebooks and celebratory menus of Frida Kahlo, where cooking

functioned as an extension of daily life, memory, and artistic expression. The dishes presented reflect

domestic Mexican cuisine as practiced in mid-20th-century Mexico, intimate, generous, and deeply symbolic.

Rather than a literal reconstruction, the menu honors Frida Kahlo’s table as a space of creativity, resilience, and

shared ritual, where food, art, and identity were inseparable. Frida Kahlo was known not only as an artist,

but also as a generous host and a highly accomplished cook, who used the table as a space for creativity,

hospitality, and cultural expression.
